Refurbishment

The following work was carried out at the Swan Centre Bolton.

•The whole site has been subject to an asbestos assessment.

•Roofs have needed to undergo major repair to prevent the ingress of water that could have damaged the fabric of the building.

•The main access to the site has been extended and improved and new security gates installed.

•A new office and reception area has been erected.

•Electrics, lighting and heating have been revisited and new fir alarm systems and CCTV monitoring systems have been fitted.

•Exterior lighting has been added for extra security.

•Two ramps and a double loading dock have been built to the rear of the premises – in effect turning the first floor into a second ground floor

•Ducting has been stripped out and cotton fibres removed to improve the appearance of the mills from the inside.
